Graeme Souness believes Manchester United made a mistake when they sold Romelu Lukaku to Inter Milan.
The Belgian arrived at Old Trafford in a deal worth £75million in 2017, but despite contributing 42 goals and 13 assists in 96 matches, he never really won over the Old Trafford faithful.
He was soon sold to Inter Milan for £66m two seasons after arriving, and the striker has not looked back ever since.
A £97.5m return to Chelsea followed this summer and the striker has begun the campaign in electric fashion with three goals in three matches for the Blues.
Before his brace in Chelsea’s 3-0 victory against Aston Villa, Sky Sports pundit Souness said he thinks United missed a trick letting him go.

"I don’t think Manchester United should’ve ever let him go,” said Souness.
“He seemed unhappy when he was there, and he’s come back a happy man.”
Lukaku has returned to Chelsea as a more complete, fitter and ruthless striker.
His previous manager at Inter Milan, Antonio Conte, who was also desperate to sign him when he was managing Chelsea, developed his play with his back to goal.
His gruelling sessions where Italian defender Andrea Ranocchia routinely tested Lukaku by going through the striker and bullying him to develop his strength has added a terrifying dimension to Lukaku’s play.
Souness, who regularly criticised the striker when he played for the Red Devils, believes he is now the real deal at Chelsea.
"He definitely is a key man. Goals change games. If you have someone who can nick goals then all of a sudden you’re a different team,” said Souness.
Can Lukaku fire Chelsea to the Premier League title? Comment below.

"He hasn’t got a weakness. I’m not saying he’s brilliant at everything but he’s got no obvious weakness. If you’re playing against him and you’re a centre-back you’re not going to enjoy it.
"I don’t think anyone will enjoy playing against him, he’s got a bit of everything in his game and he’ll be the difference for them should he stay fit.”
Chelsea and Manchester United are neck and neck with both sides recording 10 points after four Premier League matches.
They also both have a +8 goal difference, with United just having their noses in front having scored two more goals than the west Londoners.
The Blues secured their third Premier League victory with an efficient 3-0 victory against Aston Villa on Saturday evening.
Mateo Kovacic's first ever goal at Stamford Bridge was sandwiched between two Lukaku strikes, as the Blues overcame Dean Smith’s side.
Meanwhile, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s United flew to the top of the table with a ruthless 4-1 home victory against Newcastle United.

Crsitiano Ronaldo scored a brace in his first match in United red for 12 years, while a Bruno Fernandes thunderbolt and a late Jesse Lingard finish sealed an emphatic victory.
Next up, Chelsea face a tough north London derby away to Tottenham Hotspur, while United have a difficult trip away to West Ham United.
Meanwhile, Manchester City have kept themselves within sight by grinding out a tough 1-0 away victory to Leicester City.
Pep Guardiola’s side started slowly with a defeat away to Spurs, but their third consecutive victory saw them move up to third place.
