Man Utd could have second chance to sign Christian Eriksen after Inter Milan admission

Manchester United could have a second chance to sign Christian Eriksen after he admitted he was considering leaving Inter Milan in January.

Eriksen has been left on the fringes at Inter since arriving in January from Tottenham.

United were linked with a move for Eriksen when he was unsettled at Spurs, and the club even held talks with the Dane.

They did not come to fruition though, with the Denmark midfielder instead opting for a move to the San Siro.

However, Eriksen has failed to recapture the creativity he often showed in the Premier League in the Serie A.

And the 28-year-old now admits that he may have to pack his bags if an offer comes in during the winter transfer window.

“This isn’t what I dreamed of,” Eriksen told TV2. “All players want to play as much as possible, but the coach decides who gets to go on the pitch.

“It is a strange situation, as the fans want to see me playing more and so would I, but the coach has different ideas and as a player I have to respect that.”

Now despite having another three-and-a-half years to run on his contract, Eriksen seems keen to cut short his Inter nightmare and seek a move elsewhere at the next available opportunity.

"I am concentrating on my football, then when the transfer window opens we will see if something will happen or not," Eriksen said.

It is some fall from grace for Eriksen, who was one of the top players at Spurs before his performances dipped as he pushed to force through his exit.

PSG are believed to be interested in signing the midfielder, but Inter would no doubt want to at least make a profit on the £16.8million they paid for him.
