Man Utd could hand Arsenal solution to striker issue as Mikel Arteta sweats on fitness

Arsenal have emerged as a potential destination for Anthony Martial as the French forward struggles to make an impact at Manchester United.

Martial has often found himself looking on from the sidelines and has struggled to break into the Old Trafford starting XI in recent months.

It comes as Arsenal strikers Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette have struggled in front of goal this season, and Gunners boss Mikel Arteta has opened up on his relationship with his floundering captain.

And ahead of the Gunners' game against Southampton on Saturday, Arteta has been made to sweat over the fitness of four key members of his Arsenal squad.

Here are Mirror Football's latest Arsenal headlines.

Martial on the move?

Arsenal have emerged as a potential destination for Manchester United forward Anthony Martial as the Frenchman is pushing for a move out of Old Trafford in the upcoming January transfer window.

The Gunners could be in the market for a new striker with Alexandre Lacazette expected to leave when his contract expires at the end of the season and captain Aubameyang struggling for goals.

It could lead to a move for Martial, although the Gunners may have to fend off competition from three other major teams from across Europe.
