Jamie Carragher has compared the current Manchester United side to the Liverpool one managed by Roy Hodgson.
Ralf Rangnick recently arrived at Old Trafford and is tasked with improving the club's fortunes.
A lavishly assembled squad struggled for results which saw Ole Gunnar Solskjaer sacked but the German interim boss is now finding it difficult to get a tune out of the current group.
United sit in seventh and could yet miss out on the top four.
Performances have left a lot to be desired and Carragher has likened the current Red Devils side to Hodgson's Liverpool outfit.
The former Red worked under a host of different managers at Anfield with Hodgson having the lowest win percentage of them all.

Liverpool sacked the former England boss after just six months and 31 matches with the Merseysiders sat in the bottom half.
Carragher wrote in the Telegraph : "What might worry United supporters now is when watching their side over the last few weeks, they remind me of Liverpool under Roy Hodgson.
"There is nothing about them; no passion, no emotion; every game seems flat; they lack energy and fluidity; the players are visibly not enjoying their football.
"There is a highly respected football figure in charge, but it has taken a matter of weeks to make it obvious Ralf Rangnick is not the right fit for that squad and will not be on the touchline at the start of next season."
Rangnick is poised to stay on in a consultancy role however with Mauricio Pochettino among those tipped to take over.
The 63-year-old has seen results improve, even if displays haven't.
United were tipped to change their game plan under their interim boss, who has inspired the likes of Jurgen Klopp.
Known for his pressing style, a tactic rarely implemented at Old Trafford, Rangnick has found it difficult to get his point across with Carragher laying as much blame on the players.

He added: "Everyone in football knows how Rangnick wants to play given he was dubbed ‘the Godfather of gegenpressing’. So why isn’t it happening?
"It can only be because the players are either incapable or unwilling to follow his instructions. That damns them as much as the coach who cannot see a way in which to put his plan A into action."
The pundit also claimed: "This criticism is deserved because when you look at the talent available in the United squad, they should be playing a more entertaining and energetic brand of football."
