Man Utd co-owner Kevin Glazer 'set to sell £270m stake' at Old Trafford

Man Utd co-owner Kevin Glazer is reportedly set to sell his stake at Old Trafford.

Glazer and his five siblings each own a percentage of the 90 percent stake the family have with the club.

Kevin's stake of 13 percent is believed to be worth around £270m and he is ready to cash in with United set to suffer its first fall in revenue for years.

The Sun reports he has transferred his B class shares into A class stock, which are available to be traded on the New York Stock Exchange.

But his decision to sell up does not mean the Glazers' tenure is coming to an end, with his siblings now struggling to do the same in the short term.

Anyone interested in buying the A shares will require guarantees the other shares will not be sold for a period of time, to avoid the share price being driven down.

Demands for the Glazers to sell up came amid speculation over a takeover from Saudi Arabia earlier this year but the approach was dismissed.

United fans have continued their protests against the Glazers in recent years, with frustration increasing after a slow start to the campaogn.

The club's owners and chief executive Ed Woodward have been in the firing line, rather than boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

United legend Gary Neville has urged the Glazers to hold their nerve and not sack Solskjaer.

"I feel he is sweeping up a mess that was created before him and he is being put under pressure because of that.

"He has a lot of injuries but it is an immature team. He has a young coaching staff and the club needs to hold their nerve.

"They need to give him the money in the transfer window that previous managers at this club have had.

"Solskjaer needs to make sure he is the manager to exploit from this clean up he is doing."
