Man Utd close in on triple swoop, Leeds look at alternative to Wales star Daniel James, Liverpool man wanted and Arsenal chase Chelsea ace

Here is your round-up of the Premier League transfer news as tomorrow's close of the window looms.

Man Utd line up triple swoop

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer could make at least three signings before the closure of Monday's transfer window.

United are closing in on 33-year-old striker Edinson Cavani, who is a free agent after leaving previous club Paris Saint-Germain.

They have also made an improved bid of £15.4million for Porto left-back Alex Telles, according to reports.

And talkSPORT say that Solskjaer is also set to land teenage winger Facundo Pellistri from Uruguayan side Penarol.

United have apparently activated a £10m release clause in the 18-year-old's contract.

Leeds close in on new target after admitting Dan James defeat

Leeds United are closing in on the signing of Rennes winger Raphinha.

According to The Mirror, the deal could be worth just over £20million - a £15.2m initial fee plus £5.4m in extras.

Raphinha scored five goals and contributed three assists last season in 22 Ligue 1 appearances for Rennes.

The 23-year-old Brazilian has emerged as a target after Leeds' hopes of landing Daniel James from Manchester United were dashed.

James was very much Leeds' first-choice, but it appears moves to poach him from Old Trafford, whether on loan or a permanent deal, have fallen through.

Leeds have also been linked with a move for Norwich City midfielder Todd Cantwell.

Liverpool's ex-Cardiff City man wanted

Liverpool midfielder Marko Grujic is reportedly wanted by West Ham United and Southampton.

The clubs are interested in taking the 24-year-old on loan, according to the Daily Mail.

Grujic has spent the last two seasons on loan at Bundesliga side Hertha Berlin, having previously been a success with Cardiff City in the Premier League.

He played in Liverpool's recent Carabao Cup tie against Lincoln and Arsenal - but looks unlikely to figure in Jurgen Klopp's first-team plans on a regular basis.

West Ham and Southampton are also said to be keen on Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek if he is made available.

Gunners eye Chelsea midfielder

Arsenal remain interested in signing Chelsea midfielder Jorginho, according to Sky Sports.

The Gunners have been linked with Lyon’s Houssem Aouar but reports from France suggest a deal will not be done in this transfer window.

Atletico Madrid midfielder Thomas Partey is another Arsenal target - but Jorginho has emerged as another possible option.

Meanwhile, Arsenal midfielder Lucas Torreira is in Madrid to complete his loan move to Atletico.
