Man Utd boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer claims there's an agenda against Paul Pogba: 'He has a heart of gold'

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has claimed there is an agenda against "true professional" Paul Pogba.

The United boss confirmed the club have received no bids for the France international, and suggested the conversation linking Pogba with a move away was being led by his agent.

Pogba's representative Mino Raiola has claimed it is the player's wish to depart Old Trafford this summer, and said the club are not doing enough to protect the player.

Standard Sport understands Pogba has his heart set on a move to Real Madrid but Solskjaer was keen to paint a picture of a "proud professional" in training.

"What I have to say about Paul, for example, it looks like it's gonna be a media, I don't wanna call it... but it's an agenda against Paul," Solskjaer said during his press conference in Perth on Wednesday.

"He's a top, top bloke. He's a great, great professional, he's never been any problems, he's got a heart of gold.

He added: "We're Man United, we don't have to sell players.

"Paul's never put himself out of the team, he's always wanted to play, he's given his best and I can't report anything.

"Agents talk all of the time and, as I said, we've not had any bids, from any clubs, that's all I can say about this matter."
