Man Utd beat Arsenal and Liverpool to make Premier League history with goal vs Norwich

Manchester United have become the first Premier League team to net 2,000 top-flight goals - beating Arsenal and Liverpool to the record.

Scott McTominay ensured the Red Devils hit the magic number against Norwich, when he put Manchester United 1-0 ahead against the Canaries at Carrow Road.

United beat Arsenal to the accolade, with the north London club second in the goal-scoring charts after netting 1,860 (at time of reporting) in the English top flight.

Liverpool meanwhile are third in the table with 1,795 Premier League goals, while Chelsea are just behind them in fourth with 1,793 (again, at time of reporting).

Marcus Rashford brought the tally to 2,001 just moments later when he netted United's second against the Canaries.

The England international had missed a penalty only moments early but made up for his error by hitting the back of the net in open play.

United have been short of goals this season and are in the market for a new forward.

In recent weeks they have been linked with out-of-favour Juventus striker Mario Mandzukic, and are also keen on signing Thomas Muller from Bayern Munich.
