Man Utd and Tottenham's results and their effect on Premier League top four race

Wolverhampton Wanderers were the big winners in the race for the Champions League place on Sunday afternoon.

Nuno Espirito Santo's side beat Tottenham Hotspur 3-2 in north London to leap above Jose Mourinho's side and into sixth in the table, just three points outside the top four.

After Steven Bergwijn and Matt Doherty traded first half strikes, Serge Aurier put the hosts ahead just before the break.

However Wolves turned the tables in the second half through their strike pair Diogo Jota and Raul Jimenez as they recorded a huge victory.

Nuno's side are now level on points with Manchester United, who drew 1-1 with Everton at Goodison Park.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Bruno Fernandes scored for their respective sides, but the game will be remembered for goalkeeping errors from David de Gea and Jordan Pickford.

Everton also had a late goal disallowed for offside against Gylfi Sigurdsson.
