Man Utd and Chelsea third shirts 'leaked' ahead of 2020/21 season

Manchester United's and Chelsea's third shirts have been leaked ahead of the new season.

Both teams qualified for the Champions League on the final day last month and will take their places at Europe's top table.

United edged out Chelsea as they finished third, thanks largely to a huge upturn in form from February onwards.

Much is expected of both teams who showed promise under respective managers Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Frank Lampard.

United's third shirt features a rare black and white stripe design with the Adidas logo stitched on in the traditional red colours.

The Red Devils donned their new away kit in their Europa League semi-final defeat against Sevilla this week.

Chelsea have also opted for an interesting design that sees vertical stripes gradually fade.

The Blues have gone for a predominantly yellow design which has previously been an away strip colour of choice.

The colour of the shirt is mainly blue before the kit becomes yellow at the bottom.

Fixtures have not yet been released for the 2020/21 season meaning neither side know which shirts they will be wearing on the opening weekend.

Last term Chelsea and United squared off in the season opener in a match that the Red Devils won 4-0.

The season resumes on September 12 with the fixtures due to be released this Friday.

Chelsea new boys Timo Werner and Hakim Ziyech will be among those expected to feature on the opening weekend.

Rumours over a move for Kai Havertz also continue to grow as the midfielder seeks a Bayer Leverkusen exit.
