Man Utd and Arsenal set to battle it out for goalkeeping sensation

Manchester United and Arsenal's interest in Reading's young goalkeeper Coniah Boyce-Clarke is increasing.

Boyce-Clarke, who only turned 16 last month, is very highly-rated.

The teenager has already pleased for Reading's Under 23 team this season - and big things are expected of him.

The England Under 16 international is to sit his GCSEs in the next few months and the MailOnline suggest a decision about his future may be made after that.

United's goalkeeper is in the news at the moment as the club's four hopes have taken a hit.

Pressure is growing to drop out-of-form David de Gea following a series of costly errors.

Despite a season to forget, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has refused to add to the Spain star's issues in the face of heavy criticism.

He said: “David has been a fantastic keeper at this club, his reaction after Manchester City was good and I was confident in him. He knows he could do better with their goal but it’s one of those things again.”

“David has been unbelievable. We support each other.

"There is no chance anyone can blame him for losing points. He knows he could have had that shot but that is football.

Arsene Wenger fires Man Utd transfer warning ahead of summer overhaul

"David is one who likes to play games and I will have chats with him and he will respond in the right way."

But Ian Wright told BBC Radio 5 Live's Monday Night Club it's time to make a big decision.

"If he really wants to stamp his mark and let people know he isn't afraid to make decisions, he should take him out," the Premier League legend said.

"If the manager explains everything and tells him face to face why he's leaving him out and giving him a break, that's man-management - and that's what Solskjaer has to do."
