Man Utd agree two-year deal with former Tottenham and Swansea City striker - reports

Manchester United have agreed a two-year deal to sign former Swansea City striker Fernando Llorente, according to reports.

The 34-year-old, who is a free agent after being released by Tottenham at the end of last season, is reportedly close to signing for the Old Trafford club, with claims in the Italian press that Napoli and Lazio are also chasing his signature.

With Romelu Lukaku now with Inter and Alexis Sanchez on the verge of sealing his own exit, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wants to boost his attacking options.

Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial and Mason Greenwood are already on the books but Llorente would certainly add experience to a youthful frontline.

According to Italian outlet Gazzetta dello Sport , United have held talks with the veteran Spaniard and a two-year deal has been offered to the former Juventus forward.

Llorente represented Swansea for one season, scoring 15 goals to keep them in the Premier League.

He formed an effective partnership with Gylfi Sigurdsson, but the lure of European football proved too hard to resist, and he joined Spurs the next summer.

He spent two seasons in North London, helping the club to the Champions League final last term.
