Man Utd agree stunning £60m Sancho fee, agent jets in to complete deal as Wales star among players to leave Liverpool - transfer rumours

Man Utd agree stunning £60m Sancho fee

Jadon Sancho is seemingly moving closer to joining Manchester United, after Borussia Dortmund reportedly agreed an initial transfer fee.

United have made Sancho their top transfer target this summer but Dortmund have been resolute on a £109million price tag for the England international.

However, after a stalemate over a up-front fee seemed likely, it appears there's been a breakthrough in the deal, according to the Independent.

They report that Dortmund are now be happy to take an initial £60m payment for the player, with a string of added on clauses which could eventually sky-rocket the deal.

It is reported that if all add-ons are met then United could end up paying much more than £100m for Sancho, though the payments would stretch out over a longer period of time.

Wales star among players set to leave Liverpool

Wales star Harry Wilson looks set to be allowed to leave Liverpool this summer.

The Mirror have reported that Wilson, along with former Cardiff City loanee Marko Grujic, could be free to depart Anfield.

Both players have spent the last two seasons away from Anfield, with Wales international Wilson enjoying an impressive season with Derby before suffering relegation with Bournemouth.

Meanwhile, Grujic has spent the last two campaigns with Bundesliga side Hertha Berlin after playing a part in Cardiff's promotion to the Premier League back in 2018.

Star's agent jetting in to UK amid Man Utd and Everton interest

The agents of Lille defender Gabriel Magalhaes are reportedly in the UK to negotiate a move for the defender, with Manchester United and Everton battling it out for his signature.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is also keen to bring in a central defender to partner Harry Maguire, with the Englishman’s lack of mobility having been exposed on several occasions in his debut season. As such, the Red Devils are scouring the market for a centre-back with pace.

Metro report that Gabriel’s representatives are currently in the UK and talking to two English teams, with United and Everton among those interested.

Gabriel underwent a medical with Everton before the lockdown but the Merseyside outfit have so far failed to finalise a deal for the centre-half.

Upamecano pens new deal

Multiple Premier League clubs have been dealt a blow with the news that Dayot Upamecano has penned a new deal at RB Leipzig.

The centre-back’s contract at the Bundesliga club was set to expire next summer, which had prompted hopes among clubs that a cut-price transfer could have been done as Leipzig looked to avoid the 21-year-old leaving on a free.

Arsenal were the most strongly linked to the Frenchman, but any hopes the Gunners had of signing him this summer are seemingly over.

Upamecano’s new deal runs until 2023.

Rangers beat Premier League competition to signing

Rangers have beaten Premier League competition to sign Blackpool starlet Tony Weston.

The 16-year-old had been linked with Southampton, Everton and Leeds United but has instead moved north of the border for a fee reported to be in the region of £250,000.

Southampton had previously come close to sealing a deal for the forward, who has already appeared for Blackpool in senior football.
