Man Utd 2 Burnley 2: Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's winning streak ends in Old Trafford thriller

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's winning streak as Manchester United manager came to an abrupt halt as Burnley left Old Trafford with a 2-2 draw on Tuesday night.

Late goals from Paul Pogba and Victor Lindelof saw United salvage a point, but it was not enough to extend the Norweigan's winning start to life as United boss to nine games.

After a goalless first half, Andreas Pereira, a surprise selection in the United midfield, was guilty of giving the ball away, allowing Ashley Barnes to race clear and open the scoring for the away side.

And when Chris Wood headed home a second it looked as if the Solskjaer honeymoon was about to come to an abrupt end.

United had missed Jesse Lingard's energy and invention, but on as a substitute, it was he who earned the penalty that gave the home side a way back into the game three minutes from time, with Pogba coolly converting.

Tom Heaton had been oustanding in the Burnley goal, and must have thought he'd preserved all three points when saving from Alexis Sanchez's stoppage time header, only to see Lindelof smash home to steal a share of the spoils.
