Man Utd £150m superstar to replace China-bound Gareth Bale at Real Madrid - reports

Gareth Bale's move to China could see Real Madrid make a stunning approach for Manchester United superstar Paul Pogba, according to reports.

Bale is believed to be closing in a move to Chinese Super League side Jiangsu Suning this summer, in a deal that will see him become the world's best paid player on £1m-a-week.

The move would bring an end to weeks of intense speculation surrounding the Wales star, who reportedly wanted a return to the Premier League, with Man United among the clubs to be heavily linked.

However, no club on these shores could match his sizeable £600k-a-week salary, which once off Real's books could see Zinedine Zidane make shockwaves in the transfer market.

The Sunday Mirror reports Zidane has told Real's hierarchy to go all out to bring Pogba to the Bernabeu - even if it costs them £150m.

United officials insist they have no interest in selling, but are allegedly well aware that the Spanish giants' interest in the Frenchman is only likely to intensify once Bale moves on.

The deal taking Bale to China is believed to be close, although negotiations are still ongoing, with Bale's agent Jonathan Barnett reportedly confident of getting a deal done before the Chinese transfer window closes on Wednesday.
