Man urinating on M56 was 'more than double drink drive limit'

A man who was spotted urinating on the motorway failed a roadside drink-drive test, police said.

Cheshire's road policing unit confirmed National Highways officers came across a motorist who was "urinating" on the M56. When the driver left, officers followed and raised concerns about their "manner of driving".

Taking to social media, the policing team shared images of the vehicle as they said the driver was soon stopped and breathalysed. After failing the test, the driver was arrested and taken to custody where they "blew 71", with the legal limit being 35 ( 35 micrograms of alcohol for every 100 millilitres of breath).
