Man United transfer change, Arsenal blow but new target identified - Premier League rumours

Premier League clubs are all preparing for the upcoming campaign by putting their players through pre-season training and friendlies but the transfer market remains a priority.

This is the time of the year when the rumour mill goes into overdrive and the latest round-up of gossip is a prime example of that.

Man United change Harry Maguire plan

Manchester United are looking into alternative options as they become frustrated in their bid to sign Harry Maguire.

The Red Devils are focused on landing Maguire from Leicester City and are currently leading the race for his signature, with Manchester City also interested.

But Leicester's demand for a £90m fee has halted a deal from progressing just yet.

Now it's said that United are considering changing their plans and going all out for Kalidou Koulibaly.

That's according to the MailOnline, who state that the Red Devils may revisit their interest in the Napoli star if their pursuit of Maguire falls through.

Sean Longstaff latest as Magpies braced for bid

Newcastle United are bracing themselves for a bid from Manchester United.

The Magpies have previously rejected the advances of the Red Devils for Sean Longstaff but United are expected to make another move this week.

Mirror Sport are reporting that United plan to offer £30m for the midfielder, though Newcastle value the 21-year-old at £50m.

Arsenal blow

Celtic legend Kenny Dalglish has predicted that Kieran Tierney will stay in Scotland amid transfer links with Arsenal.

The Scottish giants have knocked back Arsenal so far over the future of Tierney, with both clubs far apart in their valuation of the defender.

The 22-year-old continues to be linked with a move to the Gunners but Daglish can see him staying at Celtic.

“The Hoops have every right to play hardball, and get what they believe to be a proper valuation. That could mean that the lad ends up staying at Celtic," he told the Sunday Post.

New target for the Gunners

Arsenal have added Daniele Rugani to their transfer wish list, according to the Express.

The Juventus defender has fallen down the pecking order thanks to the arrival of Matthijs de Ligt from Ajax.

Juventus are now willing to let the 24-year-old leave and Unai Emery is reportedly keen to sign the centre-back.
