Man United to hold Dean Henderson talks after Nottingham Forest season ends

Dean Henderson is reportedly set to hold talks with Manchester United over his long-term future after spending the season on loan at Nottingham Forest.

The 25-year-old has impressed during his time at the City Ground but has not played for the club since the Reds beat Leicester City in January after having surgery on a thigh injury.

Henderson's injury has ruled him out for the rest of the campaign as Forest responded in January by signing former Real Madrid goalkeeper Keylor Navas on loan until the end of the season.

And it appears unlikely that the Red Devils shot-stopper will remain at Steve Cooper's side next season.

ESPN report that United are to hold talks with Henderson about his future as Erik ten Hag mulls over his long-term goalkeeper options. They claim that he has attracted interest from several Premier League sides and clubs from abroad.

The report also states that current No 1 David de Gea is not guaranteed to be the club's first-choice keeper next season. The Spaniard is reportedly in talks over a new contract at Old Trafford but has made a number of high-profile mistakes this season including at the weekend as United lost at West Ham.
