Man United suffer huge blow, Mourinho rules out new striker - Premier League transfer rumours

We are now just  a number of weeks away from the January transfer window opening and there is likely to be plenty of business taking place in the month.

With a fierce battle for the title, a huge scrap for European football and a number of clubs desperately looking to avoid relegation to the Championship, clubs up and down the country are expected to be busy trying to get deals over the line.

And below we have gathered some of the latest snippets doing the rounds in the media.

Liverpool to allow forward to leave

Liverpool are willing to let Rhian Brewster leave the club on loan in the January transfer window.

The Liverpool ECHO are reporting that Brewster is rated highly by Jurgen Klopp and any departure will centre around a guarantee of playing time for the teenage striker.

Liverpool are also believed to be adopting a similar stance on goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher, who, it is claimed, is wanted by Championship side Preston.

Mourinho rules out Ibrahimovic move

Jose Mourinho has ruled out bringing free agent striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic to Tottenham. .

Speaking ahead of Spurs' Champions League clash with Olympiakos, Mourinho said: "I have more than a connection, amazing player, amazing guy, but I would say no chance.

"We have the best striker in England. It doesn't make sense to sign him when we have Harry Kane.”

Spurs were linked with a move for the former Manchester United forward last week.

Brighton keen on Bohinen

Brighton are among a number of Premier League clubs keen on Emil Bohinen.

The winger, who plays for Stabaek JF in the Norwegian top flight, has scored four goals in 28 appearances in the Eliteserien this season.
