Man United star set for La Liga transfer as Newcastle enter Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang race

The January transfer window is now just a matter of days away.

As Arsenal have a realistic chance of finishing in the top four for the first time since the 2015/16 season, Edu may wish to dip into the transfer market to help strengthen Mikel Arteta's opportunities of securing Champions League football in north London.

Meanwhile, some players have uncertain futures at the Emirates Stadium.

The likes of Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah are coming to the end of their contracts at the club and may well benefit from a January move, whilst Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's off-field disciplinary issues continue to see him linked with other top European clubs.

With that all in mind, let's take a look at some of the latest rumours surrounding the club.

What?

Sevilla have made an offer for Anthony Martial.

It's reported that the La Liga side have offered a straight loan deal until the end of the season that does not include any options or obligations to buy the forward.

It's added that Manchester United are yet to respond to Sevilla.

Ralf Rangnick has confirmed that Martial has asked to leave the club.

Arsenal have been linked with the Frenchman in recent months, but it looks as though a deal isn't likely to happen.

Who?

What?

Newcastle are one of four sides interested in signing Arsenal striker Aubameyang.

The Gabon international has found himself an outcast at the Emirates after being stripped of the captaincy earlier this month following a string of disciplinary breaches.

With a move likely for the striker, Barcelona, Juventus and Lyon have also reportedly shown an interest in securing his services.

Who?

Philippe Coutinho

Where?

Sport

What?

Coutinho wants to move to Arsenal from Barcelona in the January transfer window, despite interest from Tottenham Hotspur, Newcastle United and Everton.

The agents of the former Liverpool attacking midfielder want him to join a club in the Premier League.

Mikel Arteta is keen to add to his midfield options in the coming weeks and Coutinho is a possibility.
