Man United star Jesse Lingard's surprise admission about Arsenal & his Milly Rock dance 'gamble'

Manchester United star Jesse Lingard is not widely liked by Arsenal fans for a certain Milly Rock celebration in 2017, which is still remembered around the Emirates.

But a recent revelation from the 26-year-old England international will surprise fans as the United supporter opened up on the Arsenal Invincibles team of 2003/04.

Lingard has made an appearance on BT Sport's 'What I Wore' and explained his favourite shirts growing up.

Naturally the vast majority are Manchester United ones considering his love for the club and the fact that he came through the system at the Red Devils after joining them at the age of seven.

But Lingard explained his admiration for what Arsenal achieved under Arsene Wenger when they went through the season undefeated in 2003/04, when shown a Gunners shirt with the name of Thierry Henry and the number 14 on the back.

"It was just (Thierry) Henry and one of those seasons that was crazy with the Invincibles. He and (Dennis) Bergkamp were great," Lingard told BT Sport.

Lingard also spoke in detail about the aforementioned Milly Rock celebration at Arsenal two years ago and explained why it was a 'gamble'.

While talking about some of the United away kits he's worn, Lingard explained: "These remind me of Arsenal.

"The Milly Rock shocked the world. Everyone was like, 'oh my god, I can't believe he's done that'.

"That was only at 2-0 so there was a chance we could have got beat. It was a bit risky but when it pays off...

"I was listening to the Playboi Carti song Magnolia before the game and I just thought, why not."
