Here are your Manchester United morning headlines for Tuesday, November 2.
Solskjaer reacts to Tottenham sacking
Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer plans to try and get in touch with Nuno Espirito Santo to offer him his condolences after he was sacked by Tottenham Hotspur on Monday morning.
Nuno had been under mounting pressure following a poor run of results which culminated in United beating his side 3-0 on Saturday evening.
The home support turned on their manager during the game, with vociferous boos ringing out when Lucas Moura was taken off to chants of "You don't know what you're doing".
Following the sacking, Solskjaer said that as a fellow manager 'you are never happy when that happens' as he offered his condolences to his counterpart.
The United boss said: "It’s never nice to see good men lose their jobs, he’s been working hard and I don’t know what the situation is at Tottenham but as a colleague, you are never happy when that happens. You try to get in touch with him and tell him your feelings."
Ronaldo sports new look
Manchester United will be looking to build on Saturday's morale-boosting 3-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur when they lock horns with Atalanta in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday evening.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side returned to training on Monday morning following that impressive win – with the session under close observation as the team look to build on Saturday's win.
We've shared several things we noticed from the training session, including Paul Pogba's reaction, Cristiano Ronaldo's new look and Jadon Sancho's attempts to impress.
Cristiano Ronaldo's warning for team-mates
Cristiano Ronaldo has warned of overconfidence ahead of Manchester United's trip to Atalanta for their second meeting of the Champions League group meeting with Gian Piero Gasperini's side.
The 36-year-old scored a late winner when the two met last month, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side staging a second-half comeback to turn a two-goal deficit on its head as Marcus Rashford and Harry Maguire paved a way for the turnaround.
“Back to Italy, a country that welcomed me and my family so well, an amazing place that will be forever in my heart," Ronaldo said in a post on Instagram.
“I know from experience that it’s never easy to play in Bergamo against a team such as Atalanta, but we will do our absolute best to keep the first place in our group.
“This is Champions League and we are Manchester United! We are where we belong! Let’s go, Devils!”
