The first transfer window of the new decade has been open for three days and there has already been some major deals completed.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic has rejoined AC Milan on an initial six-month deal following his release from LA Galaxy and Premier League leaders Liverpool have bolstered their squad with the signing of Takumi Minamino from Red Bull Salzburg.
The Austrian outfit, who finished behind the Reds as well as Napoli in the Champions League group phase, have been involved in another big deal this month.
On the final Sunday of 2019 it was announced that young striker Erling Braut Haaland was to join Borussia Dortmund for a fee of just £17.1m.
The transfer officially went through on Friday, January 3.
The Bundesliga side beat the likes of Manchester United, Chelsea, Juventus and many other clubs to the Norwegian international's signature and the 19-year-old can't wait to get started for his new club.
"There was a feeling right from the start that I absolutely wanted to switch to this club, go this route and play football in this incredible Dortmund atmosphere in front of more than 80,000 spectators," he said.
"I'm already burning for it."
Meanwhile, Dortmund chief executive Hans-Joachim Watzke explained how his club won the race for Haaland:
"Despite many offers from absolute top clubs from all over Europe, Erling Haaland decided on the sporting task at BVB and the perspective that we have shown him.
"Our tenacity has paid off."
A number of rival supporters have been teasing Man United fans over missing out on Haaland and their failure to seal the £17.1m transfer could actually be fantastic news for Tottenham Hotspur.
Following an injury to Harry Kane, @TransferPodcast claim that Spurs have accelerated their interest in signing Borussia Dortmund striker Paco Alcacer on loan until the end of the season.
With Haaland now at the Signal Iduna Park it might make it easier for the Lilywhites to get a deal done for the Spain international.
