Man United predicted XI vs Chelsea: Marcus Rashford leads the line as Brandon Williams starts

Manchester United take on Chelsea in the Carabao Cup fourth round with both sides looking to progress to the quarter-final.

Frank Lampard's side have been in excellent form, with the win at Burnley their seventh in a row in all competitions.

For United, results have been inconsistent but Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side did pick up their first away win in the league on Sunday against Norwich.

The United boss may be tempted to stick with a relatively strong side for the trip to west London, although he will be wary of overplaying the likes of Anthony Martial, with the Frenchman only recently returning from injury.

Solskjaer did however, reveal that he will give the club's youngsters a chance in the cup competitions this season and hinted that James Garner and Brandon Williams will feature at Stamford Bridge.

"We've got four games away from home in 11 days and we can't play the same team every game," Solskjaer told MUTV.

"So there will be changes for this one as well. A week is a long time in football and [the improved form] gives the boys loads of confidence and loads more belief in what they're doing. Because they've been doing lots of good things, but we haven't been getting the results."

The clash at Stamford Bridge is the first meeting between the sides since the opening weekend of the Premier League, where United won 4-0 at Old Trafford.

But Solskjaer knows his side will have to produce an excellent performance to earn another win over the Blues: "They had a good performance against us, they put us on the back foot and I think we can all agree on that at times we had to defend really well to keep them out.

Chelsea vs Man Utd: Frank Lampard press conference in full

"They hit the post with Tammy Abraham, they had a couple of other chances but we were efficient and we played fantastic counter-attacking football, which we'll have to do again, against probably a younger Chelsea side — and [with] a younger United side.

"We know we can go to any place and give any team a good game and sometimes it suits us to play against teams that might attack us more than others.

"I'm sure it's going to be a good cup tie."

Predicted Manchester United XI: Romero, Wan-Bissaka, Jones, Rojo, Williams, Fred, McTominay, Mata, Lingard, Chong, Rashford. (4-2-3-1)
