Man United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer provides treble injury update ahead of Arsenal clash

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has provided an injury update on three of his players ahead of the Premier League encounter with Arsenal on Monday night.

Striker Marcus Rashford, midfielder Angel Gomes and defender Diego Dalot all missed the midweek Carabao Cup game against Rochdale, a match which the Red Devils' had to rely on penalties to come through unscathed.

Ahead of the game, Solskjaer provided a update on the condition of the three players, targeting a Europa League return for two of the three players, meaning that they may well miss the Arsenal match.

"They are injured," Solskjaer told MUTV (via Manchester Evening News ) about Dalot and Gomes, ahead of the Carabao Cup match.

"They haven't trained the last couple days, unfortunately. Hopefully they can be back for Alkmaar next week, that is what we are hoping."

While striker Rashford will be out for longer, with the next international break a being targeted for his return.

"He is recovering," the Red Devil's boss said about Rashford.

"he is not very, very bad so we hope to see him before international break."

Arsenal travel to take on United at Old Trafford on Monday, with Solskjaer's men looking to bounce back from a 2-0 defeat to West Ham in their last Premier League outing.
