Man United make Christian Eriksen transfer decision

Christian Eriksen's future at Tottenham has been a big topic of conversation for some time now.

The Dane was tipped to leave N17 last summer, having admitted he was ready for a new challenge following six years at Tottenham, but there were no bids for his services.

He entered the final year of his contract and he is free to speak to foreign clubs next month and sign a pre-contract agreement ahead of a free transfer in the summer.

However, Tottenham will be hoping there are bids for him in January so that they can make some money from the playmaker.

Jose Mourinho: Harry Kane is fantastic

Eriksen has been linked with a number of teams, including Real Madrid and Manchester United.

And Spurs chairman Daniel Levy has even admitted that he does not have an issue with selling the player to a direct rival, should a bid from the Red Devils be forthcoming in January.

However, a January move to Old Trafford looks increasingly unlikely.

That is because United appear content to wait it out and hope that Eriksen does not sign a pre-contract agreement with another club in January and commit himself to a summer move elsewhere.

According to the Telegraph , Ed Woodward and United chiefs have made the decision to wait until the summer to try and land Eriksen on a free transfer.

United are monitoring his situation and will be keen onlookers when it comes to the January transfer window opening and parties making their moves from the continent for Eriksen's services.
