Man United Legends game: Squad confirmed for Treble Reunion vs Bayern

Manchester United have confirmed their full Legends squad for today's Treble Reunion game against Bayern Munich at Old Trafford.

A host of former United star will head back to the Theatre of Dreams for the match, which is 20 years to the day since the Red Devils' dramatic Champions League triumph over Bayern in Barcelona.

Mario Basler's sixth-minute free-kick looked set to end United's hopes of adding the Champions League trophy to their domestic double of the Premier League and FA Cup.

However, United super-subs Teddy Sheringham and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer struck a quickfire brace in injury time to complete one of the most sensational comebacks in European Cup history.

The likes of David Beckham, Peter Schmeichel, Gary Neville, Andy Cole and Dwight Yorke will all play in Sunday's friendly, with Solskjaer and Teddy Sheringham also included.

Solskjaer's presence will have a slightly surreal edge, given that the Norwegian will be coached on the Old Trafford pitch despite holding the role of the club's permanent manager.

While few managers would make way for another in their own dugout, Solskjaer has no problem with United's choice today as Sir Alex Ferguson will return as manager.

Solskjaer won over United and Ed Woodward by March - he has earned the right to continue the job this summer. (PA)

Steve McClaren (assistant mnager) and former club captain Bryan Robson (head coach) make up the rest of Ferguson's backroom team for the match, which takes place at 3pm BST.

All the money raised will go to the Manchester United Foundation, which works with young people across Greater Manchester.
