Manchester United have been handed an Andre Silva transfer blow.
Contrary to reports, the Eintracht Frankfurt forward Andre Silva does not have a buy-out clause in his contract which could have allegedly made the Portugal man be available for the bargain price of just £26m.
Silva's agent told Goal that there is no exit clause in his client's contract while also confirming that there is no verbal agreement between the player and the German club that could facilitate his departure this summer.
The 25-year-old is enjoying an outstanding season for Frankfurt having scored 24 goals in 28 games in all competitions and it's therefore not surprising to see interest in Silva increasing from some of Europe's biggest clubs.
United have been regularly linked with a move for Silva in recent months, and it's worth noting that he's actually two goals ahead of Reds target Erling Haaland in the Bundesliga scoring charts this campaign.
The MEN revealed last month that United had decided to settle on Haaland as their priority in the transfer window this summer, but since then the 20-year-old sensation has embarked on a European tour with his infamous agent Mino Raiola.
Working with Raiola has previously left United in a compromised position, although Gazzetta dello Sport have now claimed that the superagent and Haaland's father held talks with the Reds on their travels last week.
