Manchester United great Eric Cantona hailed for Piers Morgan selfie response

Manchester United great Eric Cantona may no longer be in his physical prime but he still made an impact on Sunday evening during Soccer Aid 2019.

Cantona came off the bench to help the Rest of the World come from 2-0 down to defeat England on penalties at Stamford Bridge.

The French star is not in the same shape as he was during his playing career but after coming on with his side down in the contest, he provided a delightful through ball for previous Love Island winner Kem Cetinay to cut inside John Terry and fire home.

The Rest of the World would go on to win the game on penalties as comedian Lee Mack missed the decisive spot-kick, with jubilant scenes following the win.

One of the famous people celebrating the victory was Piers Morgan, the broadcaster who was put in charge of leading the Rest of the World team to victory.

Naturally after the match Morgan wanted to get a selfie with the great Cantona.

The ex-United star's response was a classic look of 'who are you?' It's safe to say that the reaction went down really well with the football fans above who praised the 53-year-old for seemingly not recognising who Morgan was.
