Man United fans won't like Roy Keane's Liverpool Premier League title admission

Former Manchester United captain Roy Keane has opened up on the prospect of Liverpool winning the Premier League title this season.

The Reds have won all seven of their Premier League games this season and currently sit five points clear at the top of the table.

The reigning European Cup winners were pipped to last season's crown by Manchester City on the final day of the season, despite securing a club-record 97 points.

But after this season's impressive start, many within the game are backing Jurgen Klopp's side to end their 29-year wait for a league title.

And Keane insists he wouldn't begrudge Liverpool the title, as they would have more than deserved it.

“Do you know, I wouldn’t begrudge either team," the former Republic of Ireland international told Sky Sports.

"I’ve never been one of these lads that would hate clubs, be anti-Liverpool or be anti-City.

“I think if Liverpool go on to win it then they deserve it. I don’t mind City winning it, they football they play. Brian Kidd is there, I have a lot of time for Brian Kidd. So no I wouldn’t be one of these ones begrudging these teams because I know how hard it is to win it.

“And if a team wins it, then good luck to them, you have got to them the credit they deserve.”
