Man United fans make same transfer comment about Ed Woodward and Chelsea's Marina Granovskaia

Ed Woodward always trends during the summer window when Manchester United get fed up with a lack of transfer activity.

And today was the day that frustrations boiled over and even led to praise coming the way of Chelsea's Marina Granovskaia.

Woodward has never sealed a deal any earlier than 19 days into a summer transfer window since he became United's chief executive back in 2013.

Kai Havertz: In profile

The Red Devils have signed some top players over that time but delays on deals and some missed opportunities have led to plenty of ridicule for the 48-year-old.

By comparison, Chelsea and Granovskaia completed deals for Timo Werner and Hakim Ziyech before the summer window even opened and are close to signing Kai Havertz, while the Blues' interest in Ben Chilwell is well documented.

United have not signed anyone during the summer window so far and following reports of Havertz's agreed deal with Chelsea, fans of the Red Devils let their thoughts be known.

Whilst not all fans were reacting to that news, it was just one of the many reasons which pushed United supporters to take to Twitter.

Here are some of the best reactions below.

Chelsea, meanwhile, are hopeful of completing a deal to sign Havertz from Bayern Leverkusen.

The Blues are reported to have agreed a £90 million total fee for Havertz, £12 million of which would be classed as add-ons.

But Leverkusen sporting director Rudi Voller has dismissed the recent reports as 'nonsense'.
