Man United fans 'hit rock bottom' after Liverpool humiliation at Old Trafford

The Manchester United fans made their feelings clear with their feet on Sunday, as thousands left before the full time whistle as Liverpool dominated at Old Trafford.

Online the reaction towards the Red Devils players and manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was vicious too.

Mohamed Salah's hat-trick inspired Jurgen Klopp's visitors to a 5-0 win in Manchester, with Naby Keita and Diogo Jota also on the scoresheet for the Merseyside outfit.

The result will put even more pressure on Solskjaer, who is now surely on the brink of being axed by United.

While Liverpool dazzled in attack, the home side's defensive mistakes allowed Salah and co. to feast on a number of opportunities and thrive in the space afforded to them.

United have now gone four games without a win in the Premier League, losing three and drawing one. They've also now conceded nine goals in their last two outings, as they were defeated 4-2 at Leicester City last weekend.

Unsurprisingly the fans were far from happy and plenty lashed out on social media following the game.

While the Reds moved to within one point of leaders Chelsea with the victory, United are now eight points back on the Blues after just nine games of the campaign.

Earlier this week, it was the 10-year anniversary of the Red Devils' 6-1 humbling at home to Manchester City and the performance today triggered plenty of memories of that humbling.
