Man United 'eye' midfielder, Eriksen 'wants' La Liga transfer - latest Premier League rumours

With just under 24 hours of the summer transfer window remaining, Premier League clubs up and down the country are scrambling to complete their business.

For some teams, their transfer activity will go right down to the wire as they seek to get their targets in before Thursday’s 5pm deadline.

Manchester United, Arsenal, Tottenham, Liverpool and Manchester City all still have irons in the fire coming up to the deadline.

That’s the same at the bottom end of the table, as clubs scurry around to try to recruit players to keep them in the Premier League.

The final 24 hours of the window will undoubtedly throw up some curveballs as top-flight clubs dash to conclude their business.

With that in mind, we’ve compiled the latest rumours and reports from the Premier League.

Manchester United back in for Longstaff

Sean Longstaff is now the only midfield recruit Manchester United can get this summer, according to the Daily Star.

A late push for Bruno Fernandes and Christian Eriksen have both fallen flat, leaving the Newcastle United starlet as the only option.

The Red Devils had been keen to bolster their midfield following the departure of Ander Herrera but that’s looking increasingly unlikely.

With that in mind, they could turn their attention back to Longstaff, although the Magpies are keen to keep the Englishman.

Eriksen seeks Spain move

After talks over a deal to join Manchester United fell through, Christian Eriksen is assessing his options.

According to Spanish daily AS, the Spurs midfielder, who has one year left on his contract, wants to move to Spain or Italy.

Real Madrid is his first-choice destination but they want Paul Pogba, but he could join city rivals Atletico Madrid.

Either way, it’s likely that the 27-year-old will leave north London on a free transfer if a deal is not agreed for him this summer.

Leicester agree midfielder deal

Dennis Praet has agreed a five-year deal with Leicester City, according to TEAMtalk.

The Foxes have been chasing the Belgian midfielder all summer and have sorted personal terms with the Sampdoria man.

Talks between the two clubs are ongoing, with Brendan Rodgers hopeful a fee can be agreed between the two clubs.

The deal is expected to be worth around £20m.
