Man United captain Harry Maguire 'emerges as shock target for PSG' and more transfer rumours

Manchester United captain Harry Maguire is reportedly a target for Paris Saint-Germain, with the English defender said to have attracted interest from the Ligue 1 side in January.

According to SunSport, PSG were keen on signing the 30-year-old earlier this year, but a deal failed to materialise. It adds that the French giants would have to match his current wages, but that they are still open to making a move for the United skipper at the end of the season.

MEN Sport reported that United are open to letting Maguire leave Old Trafford in the summer, with the centre-back having fallen down the pecking order under Erik ten Hag. The former Leicester City man still has more than two years left on his current contract, but he has only started one of the last eight Premier League games.

Maguire played only two minutes of last month's Carabao Cup final triumph over Newcastle at Wembley, with his most recent start coming in the 3-1 FA Cup win over West Ham earlier this month. The defender has made just 21 appearances in all competitions this term.

Elsewhere, Goal report that United are one of the clubs interested in signing Paulo Dybala, who could be available for as little as £11m in the summer transfer window despite only joining Roma last year.

The Argentina international only joined Jose Mourinho's side last summer, but it is clamed that he can be purchased by a Serie A rival for just £18million, while teams outside of Italy are reportedly able to buy him for significantly less than that.

Dybala, who was part of the side that won the 2022 World Cup, has registered 12 goals and eight assists in 26 appearances in all competitions this season. The forward has come up against United on two occasions in his career, scoring once in 2018.
