Man United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer told he has a Paul Pogba problem after win over West Ham

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been given a big dilemma by star midfielder Paul Pogba following his side's 3-1 win over West Ham United, according to Danny Murphy.

The Reds came from behind at the London Stadium thanks to second-half strikes by Pogba, Mason Greenwood and Marcus Rashford to move up to fourth place in the Premier League.

France international Pogba played a key role throughout the game and inspired the side with his work not just in a defensive capacity but also in an offensive one as well.

His work was highlighted by Match of the Day pundit Murphy, who said this was the 27-year-old at his very best.

"He was asked to play this role and he was terrific," said the former Liverpool midfielder.

"He showed so much variation in his game, which impressed me most. The creativity he had, which we know he’s got, but also the defensive element to his game, which he’s been criticised for.

"This was Paul Pogba at his best, most touches of the ball, making things happen

"Especially in the first half, when Man United were poor, he was the one trying to drive his team forward. He always takes responsibility with his passing.

"[Donny] Van de Beek a little higher in the [Manuel] Fernandes role didn’t quite work. When Pogba’s confidence is up, he sees all the pitch, his game intelligence was great.

"When to go forward and back, winning tackles and 50-50s, which we don’t see too often from him.

"When he’s in this type of form, he gives United a different dimension. He gets you out of defensive positions and up the pitch."

Solskjaer withdrew Van de Beek and Edinson Cavani at half time as he looked to freshen things up for the second half in the capital.

Fernandes and Rashford both came on made important impacts as United bounced back from their midweek defeat to Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League.

Murphy added: "Big moments define games - 1-0 down, yes the subs have come on and made a difference, but you need someone to come on and get that goal to get you back in the game and it was a sensational goal by Pogba.

"Just technically perfect. Pogba playing like that gives Ole Gunnar Solskjaer a real headache going forward - a good one."
