The defeat was a humbling affair for Spurs, and fans of Mourinho's former clubs were quick to crow on social media with Spurs looking bereft of ideas with an attack missing the injured Harry Kane.
Following the win, Chelsea move on to a game against Sheffield United on Sunday evening before an FA Cup fifth round tie against Barnsley at the same time next Thursday.
Spurs, meanwhile, will be hoping to get back to winning ways early on Sunday when West Brom make the trip to North London, while a fixture against Everton awaits in the FA Cup on Wednesday evening before a huge clash away at Manchester City the weekend after.
