Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg transfer update issued
Southampton chief executive Martin Semmens has provided Tottenham with further encouragement to make a move for Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg this summer.
Manager Ralph Hassenhuttl suggested the former Bayern Munich man could be sold, with two-years remaining on his contract, and Semmens has added a further boost.
"Let's be clear about Pierre, he's been absolutely up front with us and everybody publicly that he sees himself at the very highest level of football. He wants to win the league, he wants to win the Champions League either with us or somebody else and at some point he's going to either have to drive us to that level or move somewhere else to do it," he told BBC Solent Sport.
"If there's a club out there that can win the Champions League and they think Pierre can improve their team, if they can pay for him then in the end we have to let him go."
Wolves' Ruben Neves targeted
Tottenham are targeting a move for Wolves midfielder Ruben Neves when the transfer window opens and the player 'appeals' to Jose Mourinho, Le 10 Sport reports.
The Portugal star has been a revelation since his surprise move to Molineux, excelling in the Championship to fire Wolves to the Premier League and then shining in the past two seasons, including in the Europa League.
As a result, it's stated that Mourinho is keen to bring his compatriot to North London but the report fails to mention whether an approach has been made or what sort of price a transfer would cost.
With the 23-year-old widely regarded to be one of the best Premier League midfielders and being tied down to a deal until 2023, any deal would likely be extremely expensive.
Rashford issues injury update
Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford has stated he's 'fully fit' ahead of the Premier League's return, where Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side will lock horns with Tottenham in a primetime Friday night clash.
"I think coming out of this lockdown we are in a much stronger position than we were going into it," Rashford told Stretty News.
"I think we just need to take each game as it comes and not get too ahead of ourselves. We are working hard in training, gelling as a team with players coming back from injury, etc.
"For me personally I felt I was having my best season to date before the injury hit so now I'm back fully fit I'm determined to push on."
