Man, two women and teenager rushed to hospital after horror two-car crash in Fife

A man, two women and a teenage boy were taken to hospital following a horror head-on smash in Fife.

The accident happened on the A92 near Glenrothes on Saturday night.

Emergency services rushed to the scene between Cadham and Balfarg after a Nissan Qashqai and Nissan Narvara collided.

Two of the casualties have since been released following treatment.

The driver of the Nissan Navara remains in hospital for treatment to a leg injury, while the female driver of a Nissan Qashqai is in hospital.

Her condition is unknown.

A police spokesman said today: Around 9.50 pm on Saturday, 12 December, 2020, police were called to a two vehicle RTC on the A92 at Cadham to Balfarg at Glenrothes, involving a Nissan Qashqai and a Nissan Navara.

“Four occupants from the two cars were taken by ambulance to hospital.

“The 24-year-old male driver of the Nissan Navara remains in hospital for treatment to a leg injury.

"His 22-year-old female passenger was discharged after treatment.

“The driver of Qashqai - a 35-year-old woman - remain in hospital. 

"Her 14-year-old male passenger was released after treatment.”

 Enquiries into the cause of the crash are continuing.
