Man turns up at Finglas Garda Station in Dublin with stab wounds

A man was taken to hospital after he turned up at a Garda station with stab wounds.

The injured man arrived at Finglas Garda Station in Dublin this evening bleeding from knife wounds following an earlier incident.

He was taken to Connolly Hospital for treatment.

It is believed he had been attacked on Mellowes Road, where the Garda station is also located.

A Garda spokesman said: "Gardaí are investigating an incident which occurred at approximately 5pm on 10th April 2019 at Liam Mellows Road, Finglas.

"Following a stabbing incident, an injured male presented to Finglas Garda station.

"He was conveyed to Connolly Hospital, Blanchardstown where his injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

"Investigations are ongoing."
