
The FBI is searching for a man who tried to rob a bank Friday in west suburban Hickory Hills.
The man entered the Byline Bank at 9504 S. Roberts Rd. about 9:13 a.m. and attempted to rob it, but left without any cash, the FBI said in a statement. It was unclear if he was armed.
The suspect is a man in his 30s, between 5-foot-6 and 6-feet tall, the FBI said. He wore reflective sunglasses, a green baseball cap and white Nike shoes. He had a charcoal-colored ring on his right pinky.
The FBI is offering a reward up to $1,000 to information leading directly to an arrest. Tips can be sent to the FBI’s Chicago office at 312-421-6700.
Hickory Hills police did not immediately reply to a request for additional details.
