Man 'tried to put a lit cigarette in another reveller's eye' during Newcastle night club fracas

Police are investigating a fracas in a Newcastle night club during which a man is reported to have been stubbed in the eye with a cigarette.

The alleged incident happened after a man was assaulted in Pink Room at 4am on June 24.

It has been said that a man had tried to put a lit cigarette in another man’s eye following an altercation.

Enquiries to trace those responsible are ongoing.

Northumbria Police has now released an image of a man they wish to speak to in relation to the incident.

He was in the bar at the time of the incident and could assist officers with their enquiries.

The man, or anyone who knows him, are encouraged to contact police on 101 quoting crime number 081439Y/19.
