Man tried to force 86-year-old to withdraw money from Co-op cash machine

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man tried to force an 86-year-old man to withdraw money from a cash machine. 

The incident happened shortly before 9.50am on Thursday, January 9, outside the Co-op store in Bowbridge Road, Newark. 

A member of staff and customer intervened and the man walked off, according to a Nottinghamshire Police statement.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Nottinghamshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 182 of 9 January 2020.
