When it comes to condiments, some people are rather particular about the ones they put on their food.
If it's ketchup it has to be Heinz and as for brown sauce it must be HP.
Many people would also say that Hellmann's is the only option when buying mayonnaise.
One woman was keen to keep a bottle of Hellmann's lighter mayo in her fridge at all times, but it turned out the contents of the container weren't exactly what she thought they were.
In a post on Reddit, an unnamed man has confessed that he has been tricking his wife by switching the mayonnaise for a year.
Instead of buying more Hellmann's at the shop, he's been buying a cheaper brand from Aldi and piping the contents into the Hellmann's bottle.
He claims he's been doing this for a year and his partner has no clue.
The man shared a snap of him making the exchange on the site and captioned it, saying: "Piping the Aldi mayo into the same Hellmann's bottle we've had for a year so the missus will not know she's a commoner."
More than 1,000 people up voted the post with dozens commenting on it.
Many were quick to point out that not only was he deceiving his wife about the brand, he was also tricking her into thinking she was using lighter mayo instead of full fat.
"Full fat into a lighter bottle. Devious," said one user.
Another replied: "If someone swapped lighter mayo for full fat mayo I would be livid. All the extra calories I'd consume without knowing it."
A third added that it was a "heinous crime."
