An investigation is under way after a man died at a property in Co Laois which is under construction.
The man, in his 40s, was pronounced dead at the site in Ballickmoyler on Tuesday.
Gardai say they are investigating all circumstances surrounding the man's death.
A Health and Safety Authority spokesman also confirmed to the Irish Mirror that it is carrying out an investigation into the death.
A garda spokesman said: "Gardai are investigating all the circumstance surrounding the death of a male in his 40s that occurred at a property in Ballickmoyler, Co. Laois where construction work was taking place.
"He was pronounced dead at the scene. The local coroner and HSA were notified.
"The body has since been removed to Portlaoise General Hospital where a post-mortem was due to take place."
