A man has died after plunging three stories from a window in Edinburgh city centre.
Cops were called to alerts of a person falling from a third storey window on the capital's Lauriston Gardens at around 7.15am on Tuesday June 1.
When officers arrived they pronounced a man dead at the scene.
The man's age or identity is not known at this time.
Police have since launched an investigation to establish the full circumstances surround the incident.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "We received a report that a man had fallen from a third storey window on Lauriston Gardens, Edinburgh, around 7.15am on Tuesday, 1 June.
"The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
"Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of the incident."
