A man arrested for threatening or abusive behaviour was found to be carrying a knife.
William Stewart has now admitted shouting abuse and making a threat in Burnside Court, Motherwell, on May 9 last year.
An allegation that he threatened to kill a woman was dropped.
Stewart, 35, of Briarbank, Lesmahagow, also admitted illegal possession of a knife in a public place that same day.
The guilty pleas were lodged on his behalf by solicitor Stephen McQuillan at Hamilton Sheriff Court this week.
Stewart had allegedly breached bail by going back to Burnside Court on June 26 last year..
It had been claimed that he hid under a bed and that when police officers found him he gave a false name with intent to pervert the course of justice.
But those charges were dropped by the prosecution.
Sheriff Linda Nicolson deferred sentence for a criminal justice social work report and an electronic tagging assessment.
Stewart was ordered to attend court in person next month.
