One of four people accused of drugging and raping teenage girls at a Brisbane party will stand trial on five charges.

Richard Trieu Quoc Huu Nguyen, 21, was arrested last year along with two men and a 16-year-old boy for the alleged gang rape.

Queensland Police allege Nguyen, the other two men - then aged 24 and 21 - and the teen invited three girls to a Toowong party in Brisbane's inner-west in December 2020.

The girls were given cannabis and alcohol before they were sexually assaulted multiple times, police will allege.

A police investigation was launched in late 2020, culminating in the arrests of the quartet on a string of offences in April last year with Nguyen initially facing 14 charges.

After a committal hearing on Monday, Nguyen will stand trial on five charges - including two counts each of rape and stupefying.

The District Court trial's date is yet to be finalised.
