Man to stand trial accused of trying to strangle and urinate on ex-lover at Grangemouth home

A man is to face trial accused of tightening a telephone cable round his partner's neck and trying to urinate on her.

Kevin Strang, 27, is also said to have pushed his partner, Adelina Duncan, onto a bed and repeatedly punched and kicked her on the head and body before "attempting to urinate on her.

He is also accused of wrapping a telephone cable around her neck and tightening it.

The incident is said to have occurred at an address in Union Road, Grangemouth, on September 25, 2020.

Appearing by video link at Falkirk Sheriff Court today from Low Moss Prison, Strang, of Grangemouth, pleaded not guilty on indictment to domestically-aggravated assault, causing severe injury.

Sheriff Christopher Shead refused an application for bail and continued the case for Strang to stand trial in a jury sitting commencing on April 26th this year.
