Man to face trial over shooting at Pablo's cocktail bar in Hobart

A 38-year-old Glenorchy man has been committed to stand trial over the shooting at Pablo's Cocktails and Dreams bar in Hobart last month.

Twenty people were inside the nightclub off Harrington Street when bullets from a semi-automatic weapon were fired through the door.

No-one was injured in the attack.

Wayne William Howlett appeared in the Hobart Magistrates Court on Thursday where he pleaded not guilty to a series of charges.

The charges include recklessly discharging a firearm, carrying a firearm with intent to commit a crime and unlawfully injuring property.

Mr Howlett was denied bail and remanded in custody.

He was directed to stand trial in the Supreme Court in September.
