Man to face court accused of murdering teenager at Pukatja, in South Australia's Far North

A man has been charged with murdering a 19-year-old man at Pukatja in the state's Far North. 

Police were called to the Ernabella Clinic in Pukatja in the APY Lands just after 8:30pm on Saturday after reports a man had presented with stab wounds. 

The 19-year-old man was flown to the Alice Springs Hospital in a critical condition but died from his injuries the following day. 

A 39-year-old man from Osborne, in Adelaide's north-west was arrested at Pukatja on Sunday and charged with murder. 

Police said the man was known to the victim.

He has been refused bail and will appear in the Port Augusta Magistrates Court later today.
